Commissioned Artwork

While I enjoy making my art and sharing it with the world, I also really like the challenge of a commissioned piece. This is especially because it often requires me to step out of my normal comfort zone (whether in subject or media), and they are something unique and special to the commissioner.

Since animals are my specialty, I usually do a large run of pet portraits around the holidays, and pet caricatures year-round! Take special note of the GIANT fish drawing that became my masterpiece. Are you interested in a commissioned piece?

Sloth Drawing

This was a 16” x 20” mixed media sloth drawing done in my signature style. The commissioner’s wife loved yellow, and collected sloths.

9' x 3' Mixed Media Brown Trout

This was an amazing challenge! The commissioner requested something I habitually draw (a mixed media brown trout), but on a huge scale. The finished piece was just over 9 feet long by 3 feet wide. It required a huge roll of mylar, sketching out on my basement floor, and completing it in sections.

Fly Rod Still life

This was a fun challenge! The commissioner requested a large mixed media drawing that depicted fly rods standing up, as if in a closet. The finished piece is 2’ wide by 6’ long.
